Friday Fun

Wow, it's Friday, this week has been a Hodgepodge of activities and I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Our niece is getting married tomorrow and my hubs is walking her down the aisle. The rehearsal dinner is tonight, so I've been busy getting things in order.

I thought today I would add a youtube video for Friday Fun. This is a 1960's sketch from the Carol Burnett show, in memory of Harvey Korman who passed away last night. What a funny man, I grew up with this kind of humor and it still makes me laugh out loud today. Have a nice weekend all and as always I appreciate you taking a peek here every now and again and taking the time to leave me a comment...

HUGS!

The Carol Burnett show was hilarious. I loved the way Harvey Korman would always get laughing at Tim Conway and you could always see him trying to keep his composure up there. Nobody ever knew what Conway was going to do. That was quality entertainment right there!

Congratulations and happy wedding to your niece.:)

I always liked Harvey Korman. He was a funny, funny man, especially teamed up with Tim Conway and/or Carol Burnett. He'll be greatly missed.

Never got to watch the Carol Burnett show. My mom hated her so we couldn't watch it on TV. Had to spend some time checking it her out on You Tube.

I missed a lot of funny TV there.

Jay, I think that was the funniest part of sketch comedy...those folks ALWAYS cracked up and it was so infectios. Plus I have gotten some of my best "accents" from that troop. TOPS!

HUGS!!

Serena..thanks for the warm wishes. I'm sure it will be a lovely time.

HK and the gang brightened u many hours of my childhood..and watching it today brings it all back!

NYD - That is a shame....CB and Friends was a family fav in my house. Yes, catch up on some of the memorable performances. Those folks were the best.

In the mid 70's channel 11 used to show a half hour version at 11:00 pm. When I was in HS I had to be home by 11. After "partying" with my friends...I'd come home..everyone had gone to bed..and really crack up watching them. I'd like to find a good DVD actually, to have in my collection.

HUGS my NY friend!

Wait. I got distracted by the thong / table imagery ...

Okay, I'm better now.

I loved Carol Burnett and the troop, and was a fan. In one of the current articles on Harvey's passing, he had mentioned how he admired Carol for her daringness to do anything.

Too many of their sketches had me gasping for air.

Who could forget her Scarlett O'Hara wearing curtains ("Oh, THIS? It's just something I found in a window ...") bit, the Eunice / Mama stuff, or the way they would lose all composure when Tim Conway got going?

Good times ...

Pug...I was watching some of the videos on youtube yesterday. I was literally laughing out loud..no kidding!

That is the kind of humor that has influenced me. The Gone with The wind sketch is hysterical and Carol as Charo's Mother is too funny.

How about that Lyle Wagoneer too...the whole bunch was so talented.

as always..

HUGS 4 PUGS!

Seems weird that people I grew up watching are dying off...

I know VE..and when they are in their 80's it weirds me out even more..

Dick Martin from Laugh-In passed last week. This was another family FAV in my home growing up. I had no idea he was as aold as he was.

Congrats to your niece.

I was hoping Korman and Brooks could squeeze out one more picture. Those are hard to beat.

He was a real comedic genius, esepecially when paired up with Conway and/or Burnett.

What a loss.
