I've been seeing billboards with his picture advertising a game in September. The Galaxy will be playing a team that draws a crowd just a tad smaller than some of the family reunions I have attended, so it will be interesting. They would do a lot better if Victoria would flag traffic outside....
I guess E-R...maybe THEY will breathe some life into American Professional Soccer..but really...this media attention..I mean, she was a spice girl..THAT'S IT!!

ER...yes indeed, I had a member of MY household wanting that as well. I think she STILL wants that. :-)
Corn, YES they are def posers..but HE is one of the great soccer players of the world and she is a former Spice Girl who married him. They are English and he took a job with major league soccer for teh LA team...they are celebrities of the nth degree in England, and Europe I would guess.
We don't have enough celebs here so we need to import them I suppose.
I find myself a bit envious that you don't know who they are...
I would not be envious. I consider my lack of knowledge ignorant. I should know what a Spice Gal is. I do know what soccer is but sadly don't keep up with that. I don't keep up with football much since Joe Namath retired. I am dating myself a bit. I can barely keep up with the bus schedule here.

Me can see that the American media is doing their usual job of making dumb people look even more vapid and ridiculous than they already are. David Beckham is actually a fairly cool guy. He knows he be just a ball player and makes fun of himself when old spice ain't around. He is also an amazing athlete. Now that he be in the states Me be wondering just how arrogant he might become.

Yes Scary, it's the media I am really refering to here. There was some "special" on TV..Victoria Beckham Comes To America...needless to say I didn't watch it, but I WAS struck by how folks EMBRACE celebs.
