In the immortal words of Aerosmith

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack in the saddle again..

Hello blog pals...well leelee is back from her absence. Been working don't cha know. Yes Hubs and I spent a grueling but successful week hawking expensive art and antiques to rich people at the Antique Show. It was quite a Hollywood production. We set up 3 booths with walls, lighting and rugs...we pretty much take our act on the road. It's fun but exhausting.

Daughter is back at college and now it's hubs, the dog and I. Not a bad way to live actually :-). Seems like I have been going non stop since the visit from the 6 grandchildren in November..then the holidays, then our trip up north then the show. STOP THE TRAIN I WANT TO GET OFF!! Kidding, it's all been good.

I've been doing my best to keep up checking out all your blogs, commenting when i can and trying to stay in the loop.

I see P finally got to a new post and it's as clever as ever. He is good isn't he? and by far his comment section is the best in the land. JL4 has been doing some good writing as well, I enjoy his commentaries on life.

Paula and Mayden always bring a smile when I read their posts and E_R has been keeping us in the loop on current events. Sean has been a favorite for a year now. and of course I am always happy to read what /t and Lamby are up to.

In any case my bloggy friends...just wanted to say HEY and I'm looking forward to getting back into the blogdom. Oh and I am really going to try to do more Kitchen Concerts..... gonna try anyway :-)

HUGS!!

Yeah, mine too.

The antique thing must really be an interesting life, you should write about it.

I am looking forward to something new on the kitchen concerts, I am a bit worn out on the Rat Pack...

OK gents, but youll have to come to South Florida to pick up your cut..you will accept shells and beads correct?

Yes, it's good to be back, I've missed you.

E_R I was going to post a song on my Kitchen Concerts but the techies at Hipcast AND google haven't figured out how to allow the "new" blogger to grant access...I'm annoyed because..well I pay for the service and..I have a great song to add, but want you all to actually hear it. In anycase, I should be able to post something there...maybe even today..no promises though..

Well gosh Paula... :-)

Had I known you would worry...I sure would have :-)

I actualy was home last week and commuting to the show in Miami..about 18 miles, so it wasn't too bad.

Thanks for thinking about me though..

I like watching the antiques road show, especially when the "expert" tells the antique owner they have a total piece of worthless junk.

I remember I couldn’t wait for the kids to get out of the house and on their own, but now that they are I miss them. Another one of nature's little jokes, I guess.

Phos Kid...yes I play road show a lot in my store too...people come in with items...now I am no expert, but I have been around the business to pick up much knowledge by asmosis..oh and listening too... :-) It's is rather like the road show...unfortunately, most people have worthless junk and are hoping I tell them Grandma's vase is worth 50K...sorry Lady...maybe $50 and "thank you anyway, it;'s not for us". My hubs has been in the biz since the 70's

As for being an empty nester?? well I do miss the kiddo for sure, but...she calls me often and she hasn't been gone long enough to miss her too much. She text messaged me yesterday "Mom I miss you"....that pulled at the heart strings...I'll drive up to see her in a month or so. I get joy from knowing she is learning to fly, slowly but surely.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
