Friday Fun

Wow, it's Friday, this week has been a Hodgepodge of activities and I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Our niece is getting married tomorrow and my hubs is walking her down the aisle. The rehearsal dinner is tonight, so I've been busy getting things in order.

I thought today I would add a youtube video for Friday Fun. This is a 1960's sketch from the Carol Burnett show, in memory of Harvey Korman who passed away last night. What a funny man, I grew up with this kind of humor and it still makes me laugh out loud today. Have a nice weekend all and as always I appreciate you taking a peek here every now and again and taking the time to leave me a comment...

HUGS!

13

I was walking past the mental hospital the other day and all the patients were shouting 13....13....13

The fence was too high to see over, but I saw a little gap in the planks and looked through to see what was going on.

Some bastard poked me in the eye with a stick. Then they all started shouting 14....14....14...

Pictures from my phone..

I've blogged about my fascination with the camera on my phone. I snap random images often..and I recently found I could even record video, but I stumbled on that and haven't figured out how to do it again. I don't know when I will take the time to actually figure that feature out....probably never. I have been enjoying photos on other folks blogs.....so I thought I would share mine.

My husband and walked past this pretty house in Key West last December. So pretty!

Awwww... my granddaughter Sasha when we visited at Easter.

My other granddaughter Lilia, just about made it through dinner one night...she's so cute!!

Here's the park I used to party in with my friends back in the late 70's early 80's in Northern NJ. We used to "hang" there in all types of weather. It's as beautiful now as it was then. Yes, we were obnoxious teens partying, but we always respected this park....and even the neighbors....honest!

Today when I got into my car after work, this is what the temp was outside! SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

My hubby and I passed this on the way to his daughter's wedding last Novemeber. We couldn't believe it. The Bat Mobile...cool!

My daughter Celina and I had lunch at Johnny Rockets last week. The waitress put this down. It still makes me smile..I mean, how could it not!

What can I say...I know this is pretty random...but then again..so am I.

HUGS!!

Friday Fun - iTune Shuffle

Wednesday my pal Vinny over at Big Leather Couch posted a meme of sorts:

Simple rules. Sit down with your iTunes or iPod or whatever mp3 music player you have. Select your entire collection to play. Hit Play and record the first 3,4,5,6 songs that come up.

I thought I would play and not tag anyone per se, but I'd love it if you left me a comment with YOUR songs. I always like to see what people have on their players. It inspires me..

4 of the tunes from my ipod nano:

Into The Mystic - Van Morrison

Showdown - ELO

God gave Rock & Roll To You - Argent

Instant Karma - John Lennon

Enjoy your weekend friends...

Economic News......we can all use

Reaganomics Finally Trickles Down To Area Man

HAZELWOOD, MO—Twenty-six years after Ronald Reagan first set his controversial fiscal policies into motion, the deceased president's massive tax cuts for the ultrarich at last trickled all the way down to deliver their bounty, in the form of a $10 bonus, to Hazelwood, MO car-wash attendant Frank Kellener.

Economic Stimulus Check Burned For Warmth

HELENA, MT—Saying the extra bit of kindling material couldn't have come at a better time, 43-year-old school teacher Tim Donaldson received his $618 rebate check from the Internal Revenue Service Tuesday, and then immediately burned it to provide warmth for his wife and two sons. "It gets pretty cold here at night," said Donaldson, adding that with 75 percent of his take-home pay going toward car and mortgage payments, his children's schooling, and his wife's medical bills, the rare opportunity to sleep in a warm house for a night was much appreciated. "I just want to thank the government for sending such a large check. It burned for quite a while." Donaldson, who could not afford matches or fuel to light the check, said he made do by placing the envelope's clear plastic address window at an angle underneath the sun to spark the initial flame, which his family then huddled around until they fell asleep.

Congress To Raise Alpacas To Aid Struggling Economy

WASHINGTON—Members of Congress assured Americans that they have a definitive plan for reviving the slumping economy when they unveiled on Monday a bold new fiscal stimulus package that calls for the purchase of a pair of alpacas.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said the proposal, which is expected to solve

the sub-prime mortgage crisis, boost consumer confidence, and pump much-needed liquid capital into the market, will be put into motion as soon as the first issue of Alpaca World magazine arrives and Congress has a chance to go through the catalog and select the perfect mating pair.
Congress Announcement

Proponents of the new economic stimulus package show off the comfort and versatility of alpaca fleece.

"We're confident that breeding alpacas will jump-start the economy and lift this nation out of debt once we get the start-up money," said McConnell, who insists the exotic livestock require very little maintenance and are of a gentler temperament than their cousin the llama. "All you need is a fertile male and a female in heat, and nature takes it course. Before you know it, the money is rolling in and there's alpacas everywhere."

What the Presidential hopefuls are saying:

Barack Obama

Will cut taxes, but occasionally hit up Oprah on behalf of treasury.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton

"We need to create new jobs in this country—green collar jobs that can help our economy and our environment. And I'd like to point out that that's my term—'green collar' jobs. See, I can come up with exciting phrases."

John McCain

John McCain

"Once we win this ideological war on radical Islamic extremism which will rage for thousands of years, then we will concentrate on the economy."

Ron Paul

Would get rid of the economy.

It was great!!

Last night Hubs and I finally got to see Bruce and the E Street Band. It was a wonderful show. 3 hours non-stop. The energy was incredible..the music second to none. They opened the show with a beautiful and fitting tribute to the Late Danny Federici, a video shown while Bruce was singing Blood Brothers...then they went right into the rest of the show:

Roger, Roger...Roger

Steroids?????....Mindy McCready??????.... and now:

The New York Daily News reported that Clemens had a relationship with the former wife of golfer John Daly, Paulette Dean Daly.

Citing several sources, the News said that Clemens made flight plans for Paulette Daly to watch him against the Angels.

Paulette Daly admitted that she knew Clemens.

"Yeah, I've known Roger quite a while and we are friends," Daly said.

But when asked if she'd ever been romantically involved with Clemens, Daly told the News, "You know what, I'm really uncomfortable talking about this. I'm just going to have to say, 'No comment.'

Ouch......I'd hate to be Mrs. Roger Clemens....Honey, get your rolling pin out...that boy needs to be hit!
