Hello Blogland! I can't believe the year is almost over. As with most years this year was filled with up and downs, changes, additions and subtractions. All in all I'd say it was a good year.

Hope you are all fairing well...and maybe in 2010..I will resume some blogging.. if not writing, at least dialing in to you.

Hi Blogger friends...that is if you still consider ME a friend...I've been a bad blogger...no leelee posts for the whole summer. Well I have no good excuse..I've been a lazy blogger but a busy Facebooker. I know, I know...you won't go there to play. Well that's ok...I understand.

I do have some good news...my stepdaughter and her hubby have blessed us with a new grandbaby. Michael is their first child and my 8th grandchild. I know, can you believe it? leelee has 8... count 'em 8 grandchildren. It blows your mind doesn't it?

Isn't he adorable???? I am spending a lot time with him..as much as I can.... since he is the only grandkid within a 20 mile radius!

Life continues to be good...thanks VE for the nudge..I'm heading over to your place post haste..to say hello. Then I am heading over to all y'alls to say HEY!

Time sure does fly!

...in so many ways. The calendar seems to be whizzing right thru..its almost the first day of spring. This is a mixed bag for me. In Florida we revel in the winter. The days are cool, humidity low, windows are open..its great for being outside..enjoying every blue, cloudless sky day.

I don't mind early spring either. The tourists and snowbirds will be leaving around April 15th and we'll have a couple of months of quiet. The roads will be emptier, the restaurants available again and the beaches are less crowded and the weather is still pretty nice.

Once June comes though...the rainy season will begin again. We are in a drought, so its needed, but with rain comes the humidity..and we can pretty much count on 100% humidity until Novemeber. We also start watching the eastward skies and weather. Hurricane watch will really ramp up in August. Hopefully we won't have anything to worry about this year.

The brightest spot in this coming summer will be the arrival of our 8th, yes 8th grandchild in July. We are especially thrilled because my stepdaughter and son in law live about 25 minutes away. So I can really do the grandma thing more often and closer to home.

Its been a great winter, I'm back full swing at the gym and loving it. My family is healthy and happy...Business is good...life is generally FABULOUS. I admit, blogger has taken a back seat to my Facebooking...(sort of like scrapbooking..but not). I just thought once again I would fill you in on my comings and goings...

Its addicting!

I joined facebook last week..and I really like it. Its fun to connect with old friends, keep up with family and just generally be part of a "social network"...as if blogger wasn't enough...what can I say.

Hi friends...sorry about not posting anything lately...Vinny commented on the last post that he hoped I was not still stuck in the car...lol...No I'm not.

Last week I was super busy doing the Miami Beach Antique show. I'm happy to say it was a success, which is great considering the financial times we are in these days.

This was the hall we were in at the convention center. I thought it was cool that it is named after Muhammad Ali!

We have walls and floors that we bring...makes it look really nice and inviting! It's our home away from home for a week.


Oh and this is what makes it all worthwhile..A fresh and hot Soft Pretzel with yellow mustard for dipping. YUM!!!

What's New

Well....it's a new year..and time for new beginnings. Don't you love when you get the chance to start fresh? I do.

I've been somewhat absent from the blog-o-sphere. Reading not commenting...falling behind in my correspondence and participation. All for good reason...I'm busy...Yes..actually busy! and the holidays pretty much drained me of conversation.

Also business has picked up (some..not enough). Hubby and I are preparing for the one big show we do. The Original Miami Beach Antique Show..which will open Jan.22 We are hoping to make some good sales. Business is bad for everyone these days and the art market has taken a hit..but we shall persevere..we've been at this for many years.

We've also been trying to get to the movies..I love going to the movies and there have been some good ones out there. See Gran Torino and Slumdog Millionaire for starters..both excellent.

I've also joined a gym again. I use to be a real gym rat...but for one reason or another I let that go..Oh I still walk and bike and keep active, but..I needed MORE.. so I've returned to the world of free weights, machines and elliptical trainers. I love it..and didn't realize how much I missed it. A couple of GF's and I signed up at Anytime Fitness and have enrolled in their "I lost it at the gym" competition. 8 weeks of classes, bootcamp and access to the gym...24/7. When we complete this..we're planning on a girls getaway to the Bahamas in early spring. Oh yeah I'm psyched.

Well, that's more information than I have ever written here I think..just felt the need to keep you all updated...I'll be 'round to visit you all soon.
