I found this fun and interesting. It's a short online quiz
The World's Smallest Internet Quiz
My results:
The political description that
fits you best is...
.
CENTRIST
CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government
control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on
the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention
and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.
Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,
tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what
they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

COBRA ll
Heard a great show on Diane Rehm this morning..
http://www.wamu.org/programs/dr/
Monday 3/27
10:00
Michael Gordon and General Bernard Trainor: "COBRA II: (Pantheon)
A detailed history of America's invasion of Iraq including intelligence failures before the war, behind the scene accounts of principal battles, and miscalculations that led to the conflict we face today.
Guests
Michael Gordon, chief military correspondent for the New York Times.
General Bernard Trainor, retired Marine Corps lieutenant general and currently military analyst for NBC.
I've seen these 2 authors interviewed quite a lot lately and they are both intelligent , non partisan and fascinating. I ran right over to B & N and bought the book.
Check it out..you can listen on the computer.

Movie Buff
That's me. I love movies. I mostly rent them on Netflix which is awesome because I don't have to actually GO TO BLOCKBUSTER..which I hate to do right up there with shopping at Walmart. I don't buy many films because I am not one to watch them over and over...BUT...if I do want to buy one..I usually go to Amazon.com..or more recently I found MOVIES UNLIMITED and found an obscure title I was looking for.
Just thought I would share the info.

I'm having a moment...
Oh wow, my daughter just drove off in the family car with her Dad. This is the first time I have seen her behind the wheel. She earned her learner's license on Monday and has been wanting to drive. Dad had to run an errand...and she volunteered to drive. I know know whether to laugh or cry..I think I am doing both right now at the same time. On one hand she's growing up, and growing into herself..on the other it's just one more example of how our family is changing. Our only daughter is driving now..soon she'll be off on her own. I am filled with mixed emotions..
whew....I didn't think this would affect me like it is..

We've got to get in to get out!!!!
When I was in High School in the 70's..Genesis was my favorite group..this song was a particular favorite..I heard it moments ago on XM..haven't heard it in 30 years..I now ask myself..what was I on? I actually related to this song...weirdly enough, I recalled about 80% of the lyrics which means I listened to it until I wore the grooves off the record...wow...I was deep! or on something..perhaps a little of both..
Genesis - The Carpet Crawlers
There is lambswool under my naked feet.
The wool is soft and warm,
-gives off some kind of heat.
A salamander scurries into flame to be destroyed.
Imaginary creatures are trapped in birth on celluloid.
The fleas cling to the golden fleece,
Hoping they'll find peace.
Each thought and gesture are caught in celluloid.
There's no hiding in my memory.
There's no room to void.
The crawlers cover the floor in the red ochre corridor.
For my second sight of people, they've more lifeblood than
before.
They're moving. They're moving in time to a heavy wooden door,
Where the needle's eye is winking, closing in on the poor.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
"We've got to get in to get out
We've got to get in to get out."
There's only one direction in the faces that I see;
It's upward to the ceiling, where the chambers said to be.
Like the forest fight for sunlight, that takes root in every
tree.
They are pulled up by the magnet, believing that they're free.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
"We've got to get in to get out
We've got to get in to get out."
Mild mannered supermen are held in kryptonite,
And the wise and foolish virgins giggle with their bodies
glowing bright.
Through a door a harvest feast is lit by candlight;
It's the bottom of a staircase that spirals out of sight.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
"We've got to get in to get out
We've got to get in to get out."
The porcelain mannikin with shattered skin fears attack.
The eager pack lift up their pitchers- the carry all they lack.
The liquid has congealed, which has seeped out through the
crack,
And the tickler takes his stickleback.
The carpet crawlers heed their callers:
"We've got to get in to get out
We've got to get in to get out."
