What are the Marlins tickets attached to? A suicide note?
Don't mock me JL4...they're all we have..and they will probably be gone in a few years too...much to my dismay. I LOVE BASEBALL..and it's great on TV but it's even MORE fun live and in person. I'll miss them..good or bad...they're MY team.
You have the green monster..we have the teal tower...what can I tell you...It's Florida!
I'm not mocking you, I'm having fun
oh I know..I just get defensive..it's so difficult to be a fan of a team that won the WS twice and gets NO SUPPORT from the locals..it's tuff I tell ya!
GO MARLINS!!
is the "no local support" thing because of the transient nature of the locals? "transient" might be the wrong word for it. but in az, most everyone you met was either there for the winter, or retired/moved there to get away from someplace else. so it was very similar, unless their favorite team from back home was out of the running, there was no local support...
absolutely Sean, I can tell you, when The Yankees, The Mets, the Phillies or the Braves play here...the stadium is packed. I've been to games where fans are wearing say both Atlanta AND Marlins gear...
Not to mention we do not have a proper baseball stadium. The Marlins play on a football field. Seats 85K people...it always looks and feels empty. That is not the fans fault..but the local officials.
And lastly..if you ever sat in 100% humidity in the blazing sun on a July afternoon you would not return...those are HORRID conditions..even for
"Your team"..
So we have a couple of issues here in SoFla. It's hard to be a Marlins fan..but I am giving it the old college try..until they leave.
