What a long strange trip it's been.

Old friends are coming out of the woodwork. I have been in touch with good friends who I have lost contact with over the years. It's amazing and wonderful. For some reason, since my (30th!!) HS reunion last November, I have had the need to touch base with people from my past. Now with the internet, it's so easy and rewarding.

Recalling old times has been bringing me so much joy. Memories are sparked that just have me smiling. I think for me, I have been so busy for the last 20 years raising a child and having a family of my own, building a business, that I just put that part of my life on the back burner. It's what we all do right? I mean, we can't go through life stuck in 1977 can we? :-)

I guess I just have more time now to put myself first. My child is 19, our business is solid, I actually have down time again, it's been many years since I've had that. I like it, I'm going to be a feather on the wind right now..and kind of go where the wind takes me so to speak..in friendships and self realizations.

Better to be a feather in the wind than a candle, I suppose. The first one has nothing to do with Elton John.

A feather on the wind -- I like that. I've run into a few people from the past lately, and it really does mean a lot more to me than it would have 10 years ago. This is the time when you can put yourself first. Enjoy it!

I guess I could be dust in the wind...that has a Kansas reference...what do you think P??

Serean...I'm still Mom and Wife, but am finding more time to be leelee. It's good...very good...and very needed..I just didn't know how much till I got here.

Leelee,
I love the whispered hope of the promise of the present and future in this post.

It's a joy to read someone who treasures where they are in life...and means it ♥♥♥♥♥-

Have some hearts! Just copy and use!

Mayden, what a lovely comment, thank you for sharing here. It means a lot to me.

I do feel calmer and more at peace with myself...and looking forward towards the future, wherever that may lead me.

Connecting with my past is helping me to move forward..I don't know why but it is..perhaps because I am able now to put some of the past to rest..

Thanks for the hearts!! ♥♥♥♥♥ I love them!

HUGS!!

I get ya.

I moved to Florida from Philly not long ago and when my friends asked when I would come back to visit I told them to just invite me and I would come. I have held true to my word too!

Life is too short not to take advantage of opportunities! I hope that you have plenty of wind to take your feather adventuring!

Funny I have seen your name around for a while but havent ventured here yet... I am glad I stopped!

cheers! Kate

HI there Kate! Thanks for stopping by. Your a philly girl? I myself am a NJ native, been in South Florida for 16 years (what?? 16 years already??) and I too go back up north to visit when invited..it's one of my great pleasures.

I appreciate your kind words and I agree, we have been stomping in similar blogs for a while. I'll mosey on over to your place too.

Thanks again for stopping by and I do hope you'll come back.

HUGS!!
