Kitchen Concert - Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy

I think my friends and I wore down the grooves on this record in the summer of 1973.

God I love Zeppelin!

Enjoy The Crunge and go directly to Dancin' Days, just like on the album.

Have a great weekend!!

For my friend and I it was Boston's first album. I'm pretty sure by the end of that summer we wore it so thin, it only had one side.

I will agree that Zepplin was a group for the ages. Did you ever see one of their shows?

That particular disc is kept in my car. It has a track for every occasion. Traffic jams, bad weather, feelin down and I got the whole damned road to my self!

It has been a favorite for a long time now.

Jeff - Ha..my Best Friend had an 8 track player and the 8 track of that Boston album in her car. Oh My God we wore that one out as well. A favorite for sure.

Sadly I never got to see the group as a whole , which frankly amazes me. That summer , '73, they played Madison Square Garden and my friends went and I couldn't. I was on vacation with my family...and come to think of it, I think I declared after that that I would NOT miss another vacation due to a family vacation. I've changed my mind since then, but I was 15 so I was PISSED. Anyway, I did get the Opportunity to see the Page/Plant show here in Miami about...15 years ago. It was wonderful and made up (almost) for missing that NY show.

NYD - Yes, this album and Zep 3 are my def favs...although I love them all. Some years back for mother's day Hubs got me the entire boxed set of cd's. I've since added a few live records, but..I treasure it.

Never tire of hearing it. Glad and not surprised that you agree.

HUGS!!

Thanks for the correction. I was afraid you were having a flash back from all the smoke in the air from the concerts you did make it to.

I too saw Page / Plant, but in my case it was at the L.A. Forum. Back then, security wasn't as tight as it is now, so a Pug could sneak in anywhere. The forum was great for this, 'cuz every seat is padded and upholstered! Plus the fabric is yellow, which is great for accidents.

I too like Houses of the Holy and III a lot. But also the first album ... tough to play favorites though. The Ocean is a top tune, and I love the live version from "How the West was Won".

Well Jeff..I guess the jig is up...I DO have an occasional flashback from those days.. It's cool, because....it's not illegal to have one..so I can enjoy all over again without the worry!

Pug, that was a rockin' concert wasn't it? and I quite agree..it's difficult to pick a fav but those 2 albums still get played a lot on my world! How The West Was Won is a staple in my car too...I love the live stuff..

HUGS 4 PUGS!
