Paperback Book Swap

I find myself utterly addicted to a website I found. Let me premise this by stating that I am an avid reader. I always have a book going. I can't go to sleep at night without reading for at least 5 minutes. I've always been this way..since I was a kid. That being said, I have amassed over the years tons of paperback books. I don't usually buy hardcovers because A, they are expensive and B, they are cumbersome to bring to the beach or on a plane. I love a paperback.

A received an email from my step son in law with an advertisement on it from paperbackswap.com so I followed the link. I read over how it works and signed up. I immediately posted 10 books to swap and ordered 2. I'm not going to go into a lengthy explanation of how it works, you can check it out if it interests you. Since last week I have ordered four books and sent out 4. Very cool.

I just thought I would pass it along to you because I have noticed that many bloggers love to read..so.I thought it might interest you as well.

that's a pretty darned neat idea. the glitch is i suck at remembering to mail things... i've got a magazine here i was supposed to send to my dad a month ago.

hey Sean,

I am always so happy to see a comment from you.

Yes, it's a great site, but yeah..you have to mail stuff out. They do send you lots of email reminders and give you options to mail "later" but..lol..at some point you have to send the book.

HUGS friend...glad you are ok!!

No thanks. Last time I tried one of these, there wasn't a single taker for any of my Nancy Drew mysteries.

awwwwwwwwww and those are on my wish list..

We'll just have to work out some kind of "direct" swap ;-)

HUGS for PUGS!

Cool idea...I gave almost all my paperbacks to the Senior center before moving to Memphis. I am slowly re-building a collection though!

Yes Vinny, that is always a good way to pay it forward. This is a good way to renew your collection.

Check it out.

HUGS!!

This is what I love about the internet. So may sites where people can swap things and find things for low prices if they just look around.

My mother has a bunch of sacks full of paperbacks she was going to send to the Hospital Auxiliary. This might be a better idea though.

Yes.. especially if your Mom buys books all the time, she can revamp her collection without investing any more $$

HUGS Jay!!
